    good prices and fantastic service

Our family (husband and 4 kids) just came back from Vietnam and we did the 2 night cruise on Prince. My husband and I had done the Red Dragon cruise 18 months ago and loved it so much we took our 4 kids back for his 50th. We charted the whole boat (there are 4 cabins on board) and like Red Dragon (they are the same company) absolutely loved it. Both times I have booked it over the internet (red dragon cruises) . No problem, good prices and fantastic service. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent trip, great boat and first class crew”

I just returned from Vietnam, .The highlight of our trip in Vietnam was a private Halong Bay cruise on Prince 2 Boat. It is operated by Indochina Junk.

http://www.indochina-junk.com/Default.aspx. Although I haven’t booked with them directly , they were always helpful with my queries while I have contacted them directly.I have the best time of my life. This company do them best to please customer. Cruise staff was super professional, super friendly, they do have them own trail to avoid touristic crowds of Halong bay. Company has high respect for the environment and the local culture they works with several projects and supports local communities. We did visited a fishing village and experience a hospitality and friendliness of local people. It was amazing. Far from tourist traps, only a honest and wonderful people. It was unforgetable !!! I was only regreting not taking some sweets, toys or stationeries , pencils etc.. to donate for shool.

There were some many childrens…. So if you would like to donate/ contribute this is your chance and place.

It wasn’t the cheapest cruise company but 100 % best.I have cotacted both, Indochina directly and Crossing Vietnam Tour. David from Crossing Vietnam Tour. gave me a better rate therefore I booked with CVT.All went very well, i have paid deposit to David and balance at the harbour before Cruise. CVT was plesure to work with, all my questions were answered promply, they are very profesional. Also they have very competitive hotel rates too.Speaking about Prince cruise the only one thing we did not like it was cost of spirist on the boat. My advise if you do like wine, take it with you.Beer cost around $ 2.00 witch is OK, but they charges $30-40 per bottle of house wine.Other than I would like to praise and Thank Indochina for an amazing cruise program they organizing that benefits local communities and gives unforgettable memories for people who travels to see this natural wonder of the world.

    “A very good choice”

My girlfriend and I chose a 2D/1N Red Dragon cruise based on Halongbay-halongcruise reviews and on the fact that it was a small boat with an unusual itinerary.

Halong Bay is very beautiful and we were very pleased with this decision. Although I have heard people complain about congestion in Halong Bay, we hardly saw another boat once we were underway. This was an important aspect of our enjoyment of the experience. The logistics ran smoothly – pick up from hotel, the drive, meeting at the departure point etc.We were lucky that the group of 4 couples on board were of similar ages and got on well. During the cruise, we really appreciated how much scope there would have been, on a small boat like the Red Dragon, for the mix of couples to be awkward. Meals and activities are necessarily quite intimate.

We could easily have had a different experience, and the larger, less intimate, cruises might be better if you are concerned about feeling uncomfortable not having your own space. Although the rooms on the Red Dragon are smallish (though with excellent bathrooms), it would be perfectly possible to keep to yourself in the room – they have fairly large viewing windows – but that is not how it worked out on our trip and it would have felt strange to ‘opt out’ of what was more naturally a communal, group experience.

Perhaps we had an unusual group – the fact that cold beers appeared to run out relatively quickly suggests that perhaps things were more sociable than normal, but I am not sure.

The food on board was pretty good, and some was excellent. If anything it seemed to get progressively less good, but that might be a matter of taste. Drinks are not inclusive, but beers are not particularly expensive ($2). We stuck to the house red wine ($25 – so a bit more expensive) and I found it nice enough.

The activities – swimming in the sea around the boat (really good fun), kayaking (also really good), some very light caving (a bit boring), visits to floating fishing villages (a bit touristified) – were all good for passing the time. The guide, Huong, was excellent, and spoke very good English. The crew were very friendly.
